Ravens Complete Trade for Cam Jurgens After Physical

The Baltimore Ravens recently finalized a trade to acquire center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles. Before the trade was finalized, the Ravens had Jurgens undergo a physical examination in Philadelphia. This was part of their new trade protocol, emphasizing thorough health checks before completing deals. This approach stems from a previous trade mishap involving another player earlier in the year.
The Ravens sent their chief medical officer and head trainer to conduct the physical at the Eagles’ facility. Jurgens, who is currently in concussion protocol and had back surgery in 2025, passed the physical, which led to the completion of the trade shortly thereafter. The deal was unique as it skipped the usual step of having the player travel to the new team’s city for a physical.
With the trade’s official announcement, Jurgens is set to join the Ravens but will not play in the upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons. His debut is expected to occur in the following week’s game at Cleveland.
